History Spotlight

Each month we'll spotlight someone from the Neeley Family archives!  Be watching for who we'll feature in February's issue!

Clara Clark Neeley was born July 14, 1913 in Blackfoot, Bingham County, Idaho.  Her father's name was Parley Gower Clark and her mother's name was Lovina Parker Clark.  She attended and graduated from elementary and high school in Blackfoot.  She was very active in the LDS church all of her life.

She met Paul Neeley while he was working for a man by the name of John Thorton.  Mr. Thorton had a farm north of Blackfoot and Paul had gone there to work in the sugar beet fields.  They were married July 14, 1932 by President Joseph R. Shepard in the Logan LDS Temple.

At the time this was written, Clara had four children and fifteen living grandchildren.  During her married life, Clara lived in Idaho Falls, Rexburg, Blackfoot, Pocatello, and Preston Idaho, Salt Lake City, and Brigham City, Utah.
