Special Memories about Paul and Clara

Do you remember the fun family songs that Grandma made up about each one of her children's families?  Do you have a copy of your family's song?

Did you know that there were many days during the 1980's that Grandpa and Grandma did up to six temple sessions per day two times a week?

Have you taken your children to see Grandpa and Grandma's old home on Pugsley Street in Salt Lake City?

How long has it been since you've visited Grandpa and Grandma's gravesites?  Do you know where all of their parents are buried?

Memories and Stories

Some of my earliest memories include traveling to Salt Lake with my parents to visit Grandpa and Grandma.  I loved the times I was able to stay overnight.  I remember going down into the basement to sleep and feeling so big because it was just me and Grandpa and Grandma.  Grandma took me with her to Mormon Handicraft to deliver some clowns and some baby dresses.
I remember feeling close to Grandpa on the day he baptized me and remember him telling me that I was Paul Neeley's granddaughter, and that I should always try to live up to his name.  Everytime I pick corn or apricots, I think of Grandpa trying to sound like a rattle snake to scare Gail and me.  We always pretended like it scared us to death!
I appreciate the countless letters and financial support while I was going to USU.  When I got married I had a beautiful trousseau, full of quilts, towels and other beautiful items made by Grandma.  Both Grandpa and Grandma were always there and supported everything we did.  I've been blessed to have such wonderful examples and hope I can live up to Grandpa's name.

I appreciate the efforts Grandpa and Grandma went to in supporting all of our special activities.  I still remember the Sunday that our oldest daughter, Jessica, was born.  They were the first ones to the hospital to check on Colleen and hold their new great-granddaughter.  I loved to watch Grandma Neeley play a game.  It was fun to see her competitive side.  I enjoyed hearing Grandpa tell about his childhood and his bus-driving days.  They were truly great people.
